Thanks for posting this. I was thinking today that back in the 60's and 70's we were all looking at the "Union of South Africa", dreading that in our lifetime there would inevitably be a bloodletting and a reckoning between the Afrikaans and the African National Congress (ANC). Armageddon. Implacable whites vs. the unplacable 'Communists' and 'terrorists'. And what happened? None of us, then, dared to imagine what came to pass. There's a lesson for us, there somewhere.
